STUDENTS CAFETERIA
Students cafeteria project
Surface 30m2
Project : 2023
Refurbishment of a semi-open cafeteria space adjoining a classroom, designed to accommodate different uses and rhythms within the institution.
The design is based on a principle of flexibility, allowing the space to adapt to different needs throughout the day.
A large high table structures the space and serves as the focal point of the cafeteria, encouraging interaction, socialising and shared meals.
Mobile glazed partitions above the table allow the relationship between the cafeteria and the classroom to be adapted as needed. When closed, they provide visual and acoustic separation, allowing the cafeteria to remain in use without disturbing students during class.
When open, the partitions disappear to create a generous and continuous space, encouraging interaction and a sense of community. This flexible system allows the space to easily adapt to different times of day and to the needs of its users.
Particular attention was also given to the choice of materials. All materials and elements used in the project were sourced from a materials library dedicated to reclaimed and reused materials, giving existing resources a second life. This approach contributes to the identity of the space while reflecting a more responsible and circular approach to interior design.
