This three-apartment rental house, dating from the late 1920s, was completely renovated and transformed to accommodate a family of four.
 

We chose to open up the ground floor as much as possible to bring in more natural light and create a greater sense of space.

The house’s structural elements were largely preserved. The original staircase, which once connected the different apartments, is now an integral part of the home, with colour providing a visual thread throughout the different floors.
 

The ground floor accommodates the living spaces, the first floor the children’s bedrooms and a guest room, while the attic has been transformed into a master suite.

The renovation also revealed original encaustic cement tiles, which were preserved wherever possible.
